PRE-NURSING: (CCMA) PRE-NURSING CCMA PROGRAM OVERVIEW The CNA Capstone Program provides advanced training in both patient care and clinical procedures commonly performed by Medical Assistants. Students will deepen their understanding of human anatomy, triage protocols, and office-based skills such as taking vital signs, performing venipuncture, ECGs, urinalysis, prescription writing, and dosage calculations. The course also covers Medical Law and Ethics, electronic health records, and behavioral health. Students may earn multiple certifications, including CCMA, CPR, HIPAA, FEMA, NHA CCMA, and Bloodborne Pathogens. This year marks an exciting milestone as we open our new home at the Amplify Hancock Innovation Center. HC3 was built through the collaboration of our four school districts, business and industry partners, higher education institutions, community organizations, and generous supporters who share a commitment to preparing students for successful futures. At HC3, our mission is to prepare students with the technical, academic, and employability skills needed to succeed in college, careers, and life. Through hands-on learning, industry-recognized certifications, dual credit opportunities, and real-world experiences, students will develop the knowledge and skills needed for high-demand careers. DENTAL CAREERS DENTAL CAREERS PROGRAM OVERVIEW This program introduces students to the field of dentistry through the perspectives of a dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistant, and lab technician. Emphasis is placed on clinical and laboratory environments, equipment and instrument identification, oral anatomy, and sterilization techniques. Additional Coursework Dental Careers Capstone will provide the opportunity for increased skill development in clinical support through work-based learning experiences. Students will also prepare for the Radiation, Health and Safety which is third and final part of the NELDA certification. The capstone course may also provide the opportunity to review and prepare for the entire NELDA certification. ELECTRICAL ELECTRICAL I: PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Construction Trades Electrical I Pathway builds foundational skills in construction and electrical work, including tool use, safety, blueprint reading, and essential math and communication. Students earn the NCCER Electrical Level 1 certification, covering circuits, wiring, and the National Electrical Code. The advanced course deepens knowledge with alternating current, motors, and grounding, preparing students for NCCER Level 2 certification. This hands-on program provides industry-recognized credentials and career-ready skills. Students will also learn about commercial electrical services, including distribution equipment, transformers, and voice/data/video systems. Successful completion prepares students for the NCCER Electrical Level 3 certification. IT OPERATIONS IT OPERATIONS PROGRAM OVERVIEW Information Technology Pathway Program provides students with the opportunity to investigate emerging disciplines within the field of computer science and careers in IT in and near Hancock County. Areas of study will include exploring how computers can be used in a wide variety of settings. Students will utilize knowledge related to programming, game design, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, networking, hardware, virtualization, and cloud computing to develop solutions to authentic problems including coding applications, working in an IT department, and solving technical issues for clients. AUTOMOTIVE COLLISION REPIAR AUTOMOTIVE COLLISION REPAIR PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Automotive Collision Repair I Pathway provides a comprehensive introduction to automotive collision repair, covering vehicle operating systems, electrical components, and basic maintenance. Students will learn industry safety standards, tool operation, and repair techniques for steel, aluminum, and plastic components. Key skills include dent repair, welding methods, panel installation, and sheet metal analysis. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience in painting fundamentals, including surface preparation, priming, and spray techniques. Successful completion prepares students for careers in collision repair and refinishing. The Automotive Collision Repair II Pathway builds on skills from the Automotive Body Technology Pathway, focusing on automotive painting, collision damage appraisal, and fiberglass and plastic repair. Students will also have opportunities for Co-Op and internships to gain real-world industry experience. VETERINARY SCIENCE VETERINARY SCIENCE PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Veterinary Science Pathway Program provides students with an opportunity to investigate the small and large animal veterinary industry through hands-on lab work. Students will learn: animal care, common office practices, medical terminology, laboratory procedures, animal diseases, animal anatomy and physiology and animal genetics.
