 PRE-NURSING CNA 
PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

Pre-Nursing Healthcare Specialist - CNA Pathway Program is a nursing certificate program that takes two semesters to complete.
The program teaches students basic nursing skills, resident care, and provides practical experiences with residents. Practical resident care procedures taught include: vital signs, bathing, toileting, dressing/feeding residents and bed making. The students
will learn 72 basic nursing skills/resident care procedures.

 Pathway Courses (NLPS) 

  • Principles of Health Care - 7168

  • Medical Terminology - 5274

  • Healthcare Specialist: CNA - 7166

 Certifications 

  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
       (must pass state exam)

  • Member of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)

  • CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers

  • Dementia Certification
