 CARPENTRY 1: PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

The Construction Trades Pathway - Carpentry Program is a hands-on program that includes both classroom and laboratory experiences. Specific skills include the formation, installation, and establishment of buildings, homes, and other structures. The attainment of these skills is put to the test as students work to construct a house! Our Students develop the skills and knowledge to become work-ready in a variety of construction trades. Through these experiences they’ll have opportunities to meet our local partners and community supporters while becoming OSHA certified.

 Pathway Courses (NLPS) 

  • Principles of Construction Trades - 7130

  • Construction Trades: General Carpentry - 7123

  • Construction Trades: Framing and Finishing - 7122

 Certifications 

  • OHSA 10 Hour Construction Industry Training       (IKORCC)

  • IKORCC Carpenter Apprentice Level I
       Promoted Industry Certification

Building a House

 Post Secondary Options 

Articulation Agreement with Indiana/Ohio/

Kentucky Regional Council of Carpenters

  • Direct Entry to Carpenters Apprenticeship Program
        (Upon Graduation)

  • 1 year of Advanced Placement in Apprenticeship
         ($21+ hour pay and $17.20 in benefits)

  • Certificate of Initial Mastery

  • Promoted Industry Certification
