CARPENTRY CARPENTRY 1: PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Construction Trades Pathway - Carpentry Program is a hands-on program that includes both classroom and laboratory experiences. Specific skills include the formation, installation, and establishment of buildings, homes, and other structures. The attainment of these skills is put to the test as students work to construct a house! Our Students develop the skills and knowledge to become work-ready in a variety of construction trades. Through these experiences they’ll have opportunities to meet our local partners and community supporters while becoming OSHA certified. AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Automotive Service I pathway course provides a comprehensive introduction to automotive maintenance, electrical systems, brake systems, and steering and suspension. Students will learn to safely operate industry-standard tools and equipment while gaining hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing modern vehicle systems. Topics include fundamental electrical concepts, braking system theory and repair, driveline service, and steering and suspension diagnostics. The Automotive Service II pathway builds on skills in the Automotive Service Technology Pathway, focusing on vehicle electrical systems, engine repair, climate control, and driveline service. Students will gain hands-on experience with diagnostics and repair, with opportunities for Co-Op and internships to enhance real-world learning. AVIATION MANAGEMENT AVIATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Aviation Management Pathway program provides the student the opportunity to develop an understanding of various aspects of the aviation industry to include general regulations and laws associated with the field. Included is an overview of the aviation field and employment opportunities. Second year students will build on their skills from the Aviation Management Pathway, focusing on general aviation operations, including the operation and management of the Fixed Base Operation (FBO). Emphasis will be placed on financial and operational considerations as well as on regulatory requirements and constraints. Students will gain hands-on experience with opportunities for Co-Op and internships to enhance real-world learning. WELDING WELDING 1: PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Welding Pathway - Welding I Program includes classroom and laboratory experiences that develop a variety of skills in oxy-fuel cutting and basic welding. Welding is utilized in many industries, including automotive, construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding, oil refineries, and transportation. Some of the processes students learn in this program are GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, OxyAcetylene cutting, and Plasma Hand CNC cut. PRE-NURSING: (CNA) PRE-NURSING CNA PROGRAM OVERVIEW Pre-Nursing Healthcare Specialist - CNA Pathway Program is a nursing certificate program that takes two semesters to complete. The program teaches students basic nursing skills, resident care, and provides practical experiences with residents. Practical resident care procedures taught include: vital signs, bathing, toileting, dressing/feeding residents and bed making. CRIMINAL JUSTICE CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Criminal Justice Pathway - Criminal Justice I & II is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the criminal justice field. Students will study the basic fundamentals of the criminal justice system and how they apply in today’s society.
